Hublot Launches Seven New Big Bang Reloaded Watches

The brand has added five new Big Bang models to its core collection, in addition to two limited-edition collaborations with Kylian Mbappé and Usain Bolt.

Last year, Hublot celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang watch. If 2025 is a year of reflection for this iconic timepiece, then 2026 is a year of looking to the future. This year at Watches & Wonders Geneva, Hublot announced a complete overhaul of this classic timepiece, inside and out.

“The Big Bang Reloaded is a masterpiece. It embodies Hublot’s growth as a watchmaker, and the evolution of the Big Bang collection and the Unico movement,” said Hublot CEO Julien Tornare in a statement announcing the launch of the five new watch models. Returning to Life
To understand the significance of the Big Bang watch, one must go back to 1980, when Hublot launched its first revolutionary material-blending collection—gold and rubber. Twenty-five years later, the Big Bang watch burst onto the scene, stunning everyone. This now-legendary timepiece retains iconic elements of the original (such as the porthole bezel and signature screws) while further enhancing the carbon fiber texture on the dial and featuring a cool chronograph function.

According to the brand, the Big Bang Reloaded is one of the most advanced integrated chronographs of its generation. Firstly, its Unico movement boasts five patented innovations: a recoil-compensated balance wheel clutch, a shake-resistant chronograph hand system, a zero-friction ratchet locking mechanism, a precision fine-tuning system, and a highly shock-resistant adjustment function.

When the brand claims that the Reloaded collection reinvents the Big Bang from the inside out, they are referring to the visual impact resulting from the movement’s structure and technical depth. Color and contrast become the visual focus. The colored column wheel at 6 o’clock and the double balance wheel clutch at 8 o’clock immediately draw attention to the integrated flyback chronograph mechanism.

Finally, the chronograph sub-dial at 3 o’clock has been redesigned, and the date display has been moved between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The Big Bang Reloaded collection builds upon the technological innovations of the skeletonized Big Bang Unico series, while also incorporating materials renowned for Hublot.

For example, the Magic Gold watch features the world’s first scratch-resistant 18K gold. In addition, there are three ceramic watches: an all-black version celebrating the 20th anniversary of Hublot’s “invisible yet visible” philosophy; blue and dark green versions showcasing Hublot’s expertise in full-color high-tech ceramic production; and a fifth watch that perfectly blends black ceramic with lightweight aerospace-grade titanium.

The redesigned 44mm case gives the Reloaded collection a sportier feel than its predecessors. The double bezel and multi-layered dial create a striking contrast between different materials and finishes. Collaborations with sports stars, like Hublot’s exploration of design and materials, are an important part of its brand heritage. In fact, Jamaican track and field star Usain Bolt has been a Hublot brand ambassador since 2010.

This year, the brand will partner with football star and Hublot brand ambassador Kylian Mbappé to launch its first limited-edition watch. Mbappé has been a Hublot brand ambassador since 2018, and this limited-edition watch marks his first actual collaboration with the brand.
