Richard Mille – RM 27-04 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal

To mark 10 years of collaboration with Rafael Nadal, Richard Mille presents the new RM 27-04 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal, dedicated to the Spanish The latest timepiece from the tennis champion, the ninth in the Extraordinary Collection.

An innovative timepiece with multiple angles, the new RM 27-04 balances a lightweight design – weighing just 30 grams including the strap! – Has extraordinary resistance.

Its tourbillon movement, suspended within the case, resists accelerations of over 12,000 grams, a Richard Mille record. The movement is entirely supported by a micro-sandblasted mesh with a surface of just 855mm², consisting of a braided steel cable with a diameter of 0.27mm, secured by two PVD-treated 5N gold tensioners. This structure is a first in the watchmaking world.

Inspired by the same principles as tennis racket strings, the watchmaker fastened the cable to the tensioner at 5 o’clock, then began to create the grid, tying each main string before adding the cross strings. The cable is braided above and below the main string, threaded 38 times through the hollow bezel in grade 5 titanium, and finished in the tensioner at 10 o’clock. wholesale fake watch

The movement is placed diagonally and is attached to the grid by five grade 5 polished titanium hooks that extend from the back of the baseplate with a 5N gold PVD coating.

After the watchmaker loosens the turnbuckle and tightens the cable, the assembly of the movement on the string is complete.

Measuring 38.40 x 47.25 x 11.40 mm, the case is water-resistant to 50 meters / 165 feet, sandblasted and polished, and is made from TitaCarb, which is innovative. This high-performance polyamide has been reinforced with a 38.5% carbon fiber content. This addition of carbon gives TitaCarb its outstanding tensile strength – 370 MPa (3,700 kg/cm2) – making it one of the most durable polymers in the world.

In addition to improved fracture resistance (closer to steel), this material is used in the most demanding industries due to its robustness and rigidity, coupled with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and high resistance to humidity and temperature.

The hand-wound calibre RM27-04 beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and has a power reserve of 38 hours (±10%).
