I have a comment on some of the EMMANUEL GUEIT’s Royal Oak Sea Beast on the PHILLIPS watch. Clear the inaccuracies stated by its authors.
Yesterday, on October 4, 2018, Phillips Watches published an article by Arthur Touchot about Royal Oak Offshore’ The Beast, which belongs to designer Emmanuel Gueit. Phillips will showcase the watch number 39 on November 10th and 11th at the Geneva Watch auction in Hotel La Reserve, Geneva. As you know, a few years ago, I published a very comprehensive guide explaining all the information about this Royal Oak Offshore ref. 25721ST ‘The Beast’ – You can read my article here – so I can’t talk about the inaccuracies I found in the Phillips article written by Arthur Touchot – you can read it here. These inaccuracies deprive the special Royal Oak Offshore of its importance and relevance, as well as a watch that we believe can be considered the “Holy of All Royal Oak Offshores”.
“Although the core tenants loyal to Genta – the octagonal bezel and the Grande Tapisserie dial – Gueit injects some testosterone into the production line by adding the size of the case and bracelet and adding a thin layer of colored rubber to the part. , including buttons and crowns.”Review Richard Mille 2018 RM 11-03 MCLAREN FLYBACK CARBON replica Watch
Respect the author, this is a clarification. First of all, Emmanuel Gueit’s Royal Oak Offshore dial is not “Grande Tapisserie” – but “Petit Tapisserie”, just like the first Royal Oak Jumbo ref. From 540 years of 5402.
Secondly, the article mentions the use of “rubber” on the top of the first Royal Oak Offshore and the propeller, which is also relatively incorrect. Although related to rubber, the material used on the Beast is called the “back”. This material is a high-performance elastomer that is resistant to high temperatures and was originally developed by DuPont and is not necessarily “rubber”.
For the collector of this reference, this is another “must have” element of any correct Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Reference 25721ST ‘The Beast’ – regardless of its date of manufacture.
The original Royal Oak Offshore reference. The 25721ST’The Beast’ is equipped with a blue ‘therban’ button and crown, without a rubber cladding. Unfortunately, some examples of “beasts” that serve outside of Audemars Piguet service facilities or have served in recent years will use rubber-coated black or blue buttons and crowns instead of blue “right” .buy HUBLOT BIG BANG UNICO MAGIC SAPPHIRE 411.JX.1170.RX replica watch
Third, Arthur Touchot claims to re-issue/re-release the Royal Oak Offshore’The Beast’ reference in 2018. The 26237ST is identical to the original “beast”:
“New Sea is in almost the same way as it was introduced in 1993. The similarity is the respect for Gueit’s original design. Nothing has been added and nothing has been deleted. The only change is the company’s position in the luxury sector, to The important thing is that they will be selling the number of Offshores this year.”
I regret to say this, but the previous statement is not accurate. The reissue is as close as possible, but it is not exactly the same for the following reasons:
The blue tint on the dial is slightly darker, and the “small classification” on the dial is slightly larger than the original Royal Oak Offshore ref. 25721ST. If you calculate the square between the center pinion and the date aperture, you will be able to tell the difference.
The putter and crown are not made of ‘therban’ but are made of rubber.
The date on the calendar disc is dark blue instead of black when re-editing. In addition, the re-edited fonts are slightly different.Graham London Chronofighter Vintage GMT replica watch price
Bracelets differ in several ways. The detachable link of the bracelet size uses two screws instead of four, and the original folding clasp with a blade structure – on the existing 500 Royal Oak Offshores – has been replaced by the modern era.
The first 100 examples of the original Royal Oak Offshore’The Beast’ were not marked Royal Oak Offshore on the back of the case, but ‘Royal Oak’.
Original Royal Oak Offshore uses the Jaeger-LeCoultre movement 2126/2840 movement, reissued/re-released with the 3126/3840 movement, based on the internal Audemars Piguet movement 3120.
“On one occasion, he recalled that he had contacted a man at the Salon International Fine Time Salon (SIHH), who claimed that his watch buckle was incorrect. Gueit replied politely that he explained that he had designed the watch. And he was a very early model, number 39. He received it from Urquhart during the factory visit shortly after the seagull was put into production by green light. “He said from the production line, “Here, this is yours.” An amazing gesture,” Gayt said.
Not sure if Emmanuel Gueit quoted him and my conversation about his buttons. Earlier this year, we directly told on Instagram whether his clasp is the original clasp, as Audemars Piguet described in their GO offshore book, and I have studied many of them. Seen in the example, including my own Royal Oak Offshore REF. 25721ST’The Beast’D-Serial-second 100 examples. In this conversation, after sending me a photo of his own No. 39 watch, Guiet said:replica skull watches price
Well, although the original designer of the watch said, below you will see a picture directly from Audemars Piguet’s GO Offshore book, which shows that the blade clasp was originally installed on the shores of the Royal Oak in 1993. Buckle type By the way, the picture corresponds to an “unmarked” example with only a few numbers, except for Emmanuel Gueit’s watch. In fact, I don’t know why his watch has a buckle in later examples.
In addition, I have seen this type of blade clasp in at least two of the top 100 examples. It is engraved with the “Royal Oak” engraving on the back of the case and is called “Unmarked” Offshores. My own original Royal Oak Offshore No. 1XX and at least three of the top 500 Royal Oak Offshores ever produced have this button. Any other Royal Oak Offshore reference. 25721ST.OO.1000ST.01, I have carefully read the next 500 or 1,000 case number with a modern folding clasp as shown below.
Inaccurate – In addition to this article, Emmanuel Gueit’s own ‘unmarked’ Royal Oak Offshore will be on sale at the upcoming Geneva Watch auction: EIGHT will be held at La Reserve Hotel in Geneva on November 10th and 11th. I just added another interesting layer to all the information I’ve collected and published in the past, which has affected the current pricing conditions around this reference, and the collector captured the best “beast” example.Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special 29.1940.679/21.C800 replica watch
